Description Acrylic on Canvas, makes a change from my usual stuff ^_^ I love Dragons and Ive had this image in my head for quite some time, I finally got round to painting it, I was listening to a load of Mike Oldfield LPs (he did the music from the excorsist) , vinyl's kick ass! the scan looks so crap compared to the real thing anyway I am quite happy with this, enjoy

are you acquainted with [link] Perhaps you should ask about her dragon character, Razor.

Sure, I'm a little late, but I'm just going to add my voice to the choir of compliments on this one. It is absolutely magnificent! I'm a fan of moutainscapes and this one is stunning (and of course the dragon is masterful as well).

Are you actually an artist or an art student? You certainly could be if you're not. Not sure how the university system works where you live but by this time it's possible you might be out of school. At any rate, I should probably stop digging backwards into your gallery, lol. )

I've tried art college here for both fine art and animation and in truth its nothing but people with inflated egos so I quit, plus my lecturers never showed up in both colleges.

Humm, can't say I'm surprised about the abundance of inflated egos. It is kinda surprising that your professors wouldn't show up, though. I mean, I know it's a totally different situation at my school (an american technical college), but it's pretty rare for our profs to miss lecture for anything other than an academic conference, no matter what department they belong to.

If you didn't end up in art school, where & what did/do you study, if you don't mind me asking? For instance, foxxie-creations, from whose site I found yours, is an artist by hobby but is training to be some sort of sound tech, if I'm interpreting his stuff right.

Yeah, comp sci is tough. I've got a couple of friends who majored in that and there's no way I could do what they do. I'm earning my electrical engineering degree right now, but when I graduate I'll probably end up in the military - simply because there are more exciting careers there (and I don't mean running around with a gun) than I've found so far in the private sector. Technical support doesn't really appeal to me.

Of course, those of us with some talent have better options, like being a cartoonist. Is the comic based on your Zoe character, one of the others here, or something that's not on dA? And do you have the story mostly planned out or are you doing the drawing and the writing simultaneously?

I really really like the way the mountains are done in the background, you have a splendid eye for shading and distance vs. color.

That's beautiful! I love the texture and detail! I also did some pics that have a canvas-ish look, but they were done in a paint program

Ah... I never saw this. But now that I see it, I must say... You're extremely good at painting. The mountains are beautifully detailed... The sky looks wonderful, especially around the area that the light from the lightning hits the clouds... And the dragon is very well done. Makes me want to paint something.

Holy cow and hefer! @.o I sure wish I could paint that well with natural media, but I'm still learning. I absolutely LOVE the stormy clouds and the whipcord-like tail on that dragon. Wonderful color scheme and shading!

So like, after you become a famous artist, and your art is known world-wide, and you like get old, and than you like... die, and than like art people auction off your stuff, n' stuff. This painting is going for at least $5,000. It looks freaking superb. Yeah, than like, some guy buys it, and than like, it goes to a museum, and than like everyone will get to see it n' stuff, cause it is so excellent. aw yeah.

Course, that's just my opinion.
