Tawnypaw had always been swept aside. Bramblepaw was Tigerstar's son, the next leader. Her father had always put him above her, refusing to see her accomplishments.

She laid in the apprentice den one night, her thoughts stewing slightly as she lamented at her father's latest comments on her. She could have the chance to be a great leader, if only he'd given her a chance.

She sat up as she heard two voices behind her, instantly recognizing the deep growl of Tigerstar. She realized he was talking to Bluefur and craned to hear their words

"You can't be serious! This goes against the code!" The blueish gray she-cat snarled, her fur bristling. Tawnypaw was worried for the older cat; she'd been taught from the moment she'd opened her eyes that Tigerstar was one to be respected at all times

Tigerstar responded with a cold growl. "It will be the greatest accomplishment ever conceived. If you don't agree with me Bluefur, you're welcome to leave."

"Shadowclan, of all cats! You want to combine us with Shadowclan!" She dropped her voice to a whisper "After everything that Brokenstar has done to us?"

Tawnypaw could hear the sound of her father's claws raked against the earth under him. "Brokenstar has agreed to make amends for the sake of our allyship. I'm not stupid enough to trust him, but if Tigerclan is to be, then we will need his warriors to take the other two clans"

What were they talking about? Tawnypaw said, afraid of shifting in her nest for a better listen, lest she alert them to her eavesdropping.

"I've made Brokenstar a deal; he lends me his warriors in taking over Windclan and Riverclan, and in return he will receive the moors as hunting grounds." His dark brown tabby tail whipped in front of the den opening

His next words made her blood run cold and her heart stop.

"I will also give him Tawnypaw as his mate, as a gesture of goodwill"

I really was inspired by mepisgod 's royals au, so I thought of my own headcanons for it!

In this au, since the leadership role rarely differs from father and sons, Tigerstar is leader, after his mother Leopardfoot stepped in for Pinestar. But that don't mean he isn't still power hungry as all heck

Goldenflower, being betrothed to Tigerstar since birth, gives birth to Tawnykit and Bramblekit. Bramblekit assumes the next in line roll, being the firstborn son, and Tawnykit is sort of shoved aside. Her mother explains why her brother gets more attention, but it just makes her bitter.

Tigerstar still has the vision of Tigerclan, and rather than side with Riverclan as his allies, he makes amends with Brokenstar (Who I think is still alive, still training babs to fight) and offers him a joint leadership. And to strengthen that deal, he offers Tawnypaw as a mate

Might make more of this because I like the idea
