dark & leathery ...the point shapes with the texture, could be mistaken for turtle shells
Love the style of abstraction you have developed, even when using spiral shapes ...quite an original

Thanks, Kat. I have to do a spiral now and then.

That one's so spongy and cute. I see you're back to spirals for a change... good The frame succeeds in embossing the structure. Nice work!
May I ask you how you usually build your gradients? I find it extremely difficult to get out of monochrome. I mean, how to implement more than one colour shade to an image without making it screw up the whole with weird shades and stuff?

I will always do an spirals and more traditional fractals.

For gradients, I often use Apo gradients; they can be a bit tricky and it is best to use the smoothest ones. `ClaireJones has some great ones here - [link] ~FireLilyFractals shows a technique she uses for gradients in "Tutorial 1" here - [link] There was another link but I don't know if it is still there as I can't seem to get to it now but it has some with "special effects." If you note me your e-mail I can send you a .zip file of them.

Yes, I have seen FireLily's technique, and it's the one I use now. Random gradients were a great new way for me, but I'd like to learn how to plan them ahead too Thanks for your suggestions, I'll note you my mail too!
