What the! Everytime I upload something deviantart has changed the layout of the site. Either I need to upload more frequently, or they need to leave the stupid site alone.Kuroshitsuji--I've never watched or read it, but from what I gather, it's a pretty fun series. If I screwed up something really important, it's probably okay if you tell me and I'll fix it. I just like the way the characters dress. Victorian influence is always fun, so that's half the reason I wanted to draw these cute characters--the other half is so I could gift this image specifically to the lovely , who I love so very very much.
I hope she likes it, but of course, I hope the rest of you do too. Fans of the show, please criticize anything you find to be totally wrong. I'll either take you seriously and make changes, or I'll call you a crazy fanatic.
Please don't steal my stuff, alter it in any way, blah blah blah etc.

I've never seen the show before, but I love this piece. The colors are AMAAZINNG and compliment each other really well. I very much like the roses on the umbrella ... so nicely done.

One thing you did screw up is Sebastian wears black and has black hair. Always. He's the Black Butler. Another thing you changed but I like is that Ciel has a more reasonable victorian hat and not that tiny odd shota lolita crap that perched at an angle on the corner of his noggin. Go watch the OP of the show on YouTube, you'll see what I mean. Ciel was in that show just so the artist could vent her love of that messed up fake victorian/emo punk cosplay that's so popular in this one district of Tokyo (I cannot think of the name of it, hopefully you know what I'm talking about). Also: shota jailbait. Eww.

I admit I have a thing for Victorian stuff--even fake Victorian/emo stuff. I paid attention to the characters just because I like their clothing. Shallow? ...Yes. Yes I am.
Well, I admit I did intentionally mess with Sebastian's colors--I wanted to use some atmospheric color with him instead of a stark black. I wanted a more colorful image which, given the series in question, was admittedly maybe not the best choice. :'D I have wanted to mess with the colors again and do another, more monochromatic version of this picture and see which I like better.
As for Ceil, I've seen pictures of him with a full top hat as well as the tiny lolita hat and I made a judgment call, because I never really intended to go with an exact outfit for him. I like real hats for boys though, not... what you said, yeah.
Yeah, Sebastian has this totally creepy look in his eyes. I've heard that the story doesn't have any weird 12-year-old child/creepy butler man stuff in it though, so I'm more inclined to watch it eventually.

Actually there's some man-on-boy jokes here and there, but it's not in seriousness. Still it's hinted at it enough to give all the pedo yaoigirls something to drool about. Ick. It's still an awesome show to watch, especially watching Sebastian fight (in one episode he kills people by throwing spoons and forks at them...like the Blue Raja from Mystery Men XD). Just expect a giant historical muddle as once again japan tries to rewrite history to suit the plotline of a show better.
