After our initial close encounter with this mothership, we decided to gain a little bit of distance on this cell so we could sit back and enjoy watching it. This was shot with a 14mm on a full frame body, so the storm was a little closer than it appears here... but we were still a fairly comfortable distance away that allowed us to sit for maybe 20 minutes and watch the storm Can't wait for more chases like this next year. Nothing like witnessing incredible structure in your home state! Future shots of this will include lots of lightning... just wait and see
