This is when the structure of our supercell near New Underwood, SD really got cranking. It was now a classic mothership supercell. I think my favorite part of this image is seeing the mid-level collar rise and turn with height, as well as the eerie shadowed vault on the right side of the meso. What a chase! And what gorgeous terrain to witness a storm in Took a good bit of processing to get this image to come out looking right (for whatever reason, my bracketed sequence for this HDR just didn't want to play nice), but the effort was worth it. Finally got the right amount of contrast to show up
