A lightning picture that I am particularly proud of
Like all of the frizzely-frazzely legs on it?
I was sitting at the kitchen window (avoiding my homework) for about 15 minutes, and then BOOM! A sweet lightning strike
This one was definitely worth the wait

This past week we've kinda been in this pattern where every evening or night, a line of storms rolls through, with a bunch of wind, lightning, and rain. (so much rain that it is killing our cactus 
Anyway, that's why I've had many storm pictures lately
Luckily, the weather is going to clear up for the weekend, so I'll have time to post stuff and catch up on other things

Cactus? Where do you live? I grew up in PHoenix and we had great lightening storms there. I still miss monsoon season and the smell of the desert after a rainstorm. I don't think I will ever get caught up here. I've got so many deviations to look at and over 100 messages, then I've got MySpace to get caught up with and over 800 e-mails to read through. That's what happens when you work 9-12 hrs. a day, 6 days a week. Now that I'm retired I will get through some of it, but I've still got a lot to do at home because I live with a daughter and her two little girls. I stay plenty busy. You will too when school starts again, huh?

Well, we live in the upper midwest, but we bring the cactus in during the winter

I just realized you live in Montana.I have a cousin in Clancy. Beautiful state. I've been there twice. Actually, we do have some cactus in aparts of WA. I even found cactus in Missouri when I lived there.Thanks for the good luck wishes and the same to you in school this year. I'm thinking you must be a Jr. or Sr. in high school.
