You sighed and flipped through another page of your magazine. You worked at a flower shop and it was really slow today. You were just glad that it was Valentine's Day in a couple days. You hated the holiday but it gave you something to do. The bell on the door alerted you of a customer. You looked up and you felt your cheeks flush.

The man was very tall. His light blonde, beige hair barely fell into his eyes and it looked really soft. You could tell he was muscled well, and he was a little chubby. He kind of reminded you of your big brother, who is a linebacker on his football team, but not really. He wore a long scarf around his neck. The man saw you and walked forward. Your heart started to race.

"Privet, do you have any sunflowers?" he asked.

He was obviously Russian. You grinned. "We sure do! Just hold on a sec." you said as you walked into the back room.

"Did you want little sunflowers or the big ones?" you asked as you made your way toward the said flowers.

"Just any." you heard him say.

You grabbed a few of each and you walked back out. "Which one do you like?" you asked.

The man studied the flowers. He finally picked out a medium sized one. "A bouquet please." he said with a small smile. You had to smile back, he looked adorable.

You went back and grabbed a bouquet. "So, who are these for?" you asked.

The man shrugged. "I don't really know. I just wanted to buy some." he said.

You looked up at him and smiled. You got back to preparing the flowers. "Am I scary?" he asked all of a sudden. You looked up at him in surprise.

He started to fidget. You tilted your head to the side and you studied him. Sure, he looked strong, but he had given you no reason to be scared of him.

"No, why?" you asked.

He looked at you in surprise and didn't answer. You shrugged and finished the bouquet. You rang him up and handed him the flowers. He looked down at them for a second before looking back up at you. Your breath hitched. His eyes were a deep violet color. You fell into them.

"Thank you." he said.

You smiled. "No problem."

He smiled and said, "No really, thank you. You're the first person to say that to me in a long time."

Your lips parted a little in surprise. You could see the gratitude in his eyes. You regained your composure and said, "I'm ______."

You held out your hand. The man took it and said, "Ivan."

You both smiled at each other, soaking that moment in.
