Description In greek legend, Persephone was known as the Goddess of Spring's bounty. She is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, goddess of the harvest. One day, when she was collecting flowers on the plains of Enna, the earth suddenly opened and Hades rose up from the gap and abducted her. Her mother, Demeter was so distraught at the disappearance of her daughter that she set about searching for her and neglected the earth letting it go barren and unfertile. Zeus sent Hermes down to Hades to make him release Persephone. Before Hades released her he tricked her into eating pomegranate seeds which bound her to the underworld forever and she had to stay there one third of the year. (Hence, the Winter). When she was returned to her mother, Demeter was so happy, she once again let the earth be fertile and burst forth with buds.

Thus this is my modern day depiction of Persephones annual return to earth, admiring the wonders of Spring that lay before her, as her mother Demeter watches over her from a distance. Hope you all enjoy my version of this great Greek myth!

PS: This image was a bear to resize with eighteen layers. Anyone want to offer me a tutorial on how to group layers?

Thanks for the link Darren, guess I was wrong in assuming if you grouped layers they could be moved and resized as a group. I don't always want to merge them and thought grouping would be the answer!
