I love these fellows. I played some Klonoa last month and couldn’t resist drawing them. I’m so happy the series is still alive with the Wii U virtual console release <3Related content

So cute! Did you play the Wii remake or Klonoa 2 for PS2? Or the GBA ones? I think the second one, Lunatea's Veil, had the best story out of all the ones I have played.

I played them all, except for the ones that are Japanese only. I even have the volleyball game where klonoa has a british voice.

of course! The GBA are just a spinoff! The main series is on playstation (with a wii remake)

There are many Klonoa games on nintendo and playstation consoles, but the most recent one is the re-release of Klonoa Empire of Dreams (GameBoyAdvance) on the WiiU virtual console.

Oh wow, I didn't know they did that - awesome! I still have the original "Empire of Dreams" cartridge!
Nice to know that Klonoa's still going in some small way. I'm a huge fan of the franchise.

I got both gba games. had to import the second one, cause it was US only. Europe got the volleyball game instead

Got the original two "main" games "Door to Phantomile" and "Lunatea's Veil", the Phantomile Wiimake, the two GBA games and the Volleyball game. And I'm hungry for MOAR XD
It's my absolute favourite game franchise. I'm super-glad it's getting some recognition through "Empire of Dreams'" Wii U port, but nonetheless, as much as I would love for it to continue, I personally think that it's better off where it is now. Wouldn't want it to go sour!

Honestly I think the gameplay mechanics of Klonoa are just a taste of its true potential. There's so much they can do with the idea of grabbing and throwing

Yep! I enjoyed it as much as the original as far as gameplay is concerned, but they didn't do the story any justice with the stiff character animation and awful English voice acting. >_<
I agree that there's so much more potential within Klonoa, but if it were to carry on, I'd be worried about it getting stale or worse. As much as I hate to admit it, Klonoa is better off where it is right now - the odd rerelease and comic, but that's it.

Played through it twice - first in English, then Phantomile.
'cos I wanted to give the acting a chance! 
To be fair, only Klonoa's voice was stupid - everybody else fit pretty good. They just didn't play their roles very well!

He did sound obnoxious - when he actually spoke. It was as if Huepow was his interpreter or something 'cos Klonoa hardly said anything aside from "all right" and "yes". Not one bit of his original personality - or any personality at all - remained. -_-;
It's a shame they flunked the story, considering that's what people remember best from the original, but at least they nailed the gameplay and graphics! =3

I have yet to play the ps1 game, it's the only one missing in my collection (klonoa heroes and that wonderswan game obviously too)
