They are!! I love chickens and I love the way they run!!Yesterday's picture was a no-go.. I couldn't settle on a concept for 'The Green Man' - the main focus of this book, but you can see how far I got here -Β frayed-symphony.tumblr.com/posβ¦
Still messing around with the main characters and learning to draw them and understanding what they look good doing/wearing!!
I think I'm going to call the main character Josie.. Maybe.. and the girl who was previously 'the owl girl' is Marina.
Starting to regret attempting to draw a full picture every day.. might only set a certain amount of hours per day instead and do half as many but ones that aren't rushed.
The scarecrow may or may not be important

I like the two character's expressions here, the way the one by the chicken is kinda "awww, such a cute little chicken" and the other seems to be kinda "meh, chickens, I see them all the time, what's so special? You're being embarrassing".
That scarecrow looks very cute and looks like it has a friendly face. ^_^ Is it one that's magic and comes to life?

Very neat.Β chickens are indeed cute and huggable. but what i really want to hug is that massive swirly braid hnnng.
and i like the brown girl's swirly pants. swirly pants are cool.. Or possibly skirt? Probably skirt.
. the scarecrow has a neat design too, I like it when they aren't spindly. why would a crow be afraid of a spindly guy?
and yeah now that srlac brought up the coloring, that is really nice. nice soft orangey glow. something i wouldn't normally pick up on because i haven't trained my brain to understand colors yet
