Rough draft of this drawing: [link]This is one of those moments where I feel like my art skills were thrown into a washer, and out of a freak accident came something really good. I'm very proud of how the background came out. I've found that a loose, painterly style has worked out really well for me on backgrounds lately, so I'll probably be sticking with that.
It's a phoenix for :devTheBird'sFeathers:. This gift is probably eight or so months late -hides in shame-. I hope that the wait was worth it, Lost!
Unfortunately, the bridge didn't make it into the final drawing.

Yep, that's right x3 I work better when I pressure myself to finish something like that. Trust me, I'll get WAY more done in 11 days than if I stayed 'til summer.
I also have spring vacation next week, which will give me all day for a week to write.
If I wait 'til summer, I will never leave. I'm already pushing back my day to leave...I'd just keep doing that if I did. xP

And yep, like Earthen :3 I find out if I won a Scholastic contest May 2nd, but will be querying for it over the summer regardless. I plan on spending April break editing the rest of Earthen to the point I can work on nit-picky stuff in it
I also just started another novel called The Truth Unseen. It's a mix between a dystopia and a religiousy story. It's a world where no lies exist, since every thought, dream, emotion, etc. take the form of physical words in society.
