If you ask me what’s my favourite Marvel character is, the answer you get is Doctor Doom.
There’s no one cooler than Victor von Doom. Everything is cool about him: the name, the design… the fact that he is king of his own damn country (EUROPEAN country)… and a good leader too. The fact that he didn’t receive his powers by fortunate (or un-fortunate) accident. In fact, he doesn’t have any natural super powers. He’s a self-made man/scientist/sorcerer/god, he earned his power thanks to his brilliancy and will power (and I still can’t get over what Sue Storm did do him in Slott’s run recently: I mean that was just plain cruel, woman, you’re supposed to be the hero! ). He’s an anti-hero, he’s an anti-villain, he’s so damn intriguing. He’s a character who doesn’t belong in a world of dim-witted superheroes (I mean I love them, but don’t tell me they are the brightest guys around ), he’s just in his own league and a few steps above anyone else. And holy Merlin! Why can’t they get him right in movies! Marvel Studios, please, do something!

Ah-hem. Sorry about that . This is another work I did in lockdown, with my old school supplies on a cardboard that came from London (nearly 1000km away: that’s where my local comic shop is, so what? ) containing new Doctor Doom series issues, hence the subject. I’m pretty sure I took this Doctor Doom from a Marvel Puzzle Quest image.
