Description
The fact that the group Star-Merchunaries is pretty similar to AoT and that I'm addicted to the said anime, I had to creat a Pichu that wears a cloak and the upper part of the maneuver gear harness. X'D It's perfect~---------------

-Hickory is just heading out of the cafeteria on day 2, after cashing in her second ticket for the day, and Sees Kit Partially DRaging herself out-
Hickory: matase tana, kitto san? (( What seems to be wrong, miss Kit? )) and can you Speak Pokemon? I do not know entirely much Zambonese. (( She misspells the word "Japanese" cause even if she knows a bit of it, no one had a chance to correct her yet XD and she speaks japanese to Kit cause thats the one language she used in Class ))

Kit noticed a pale colored Pichu approaching her. If she was correct, her name was Hickory. She stopped on her tracks and turned to face her. "Oh, nothing's wrong." she said, putting on a weak smile on her face. "Demo... Shikashi, go shinpai itadaki arigatΕgozaimasu, Hickory. (But... Thank you for your concern, though Hickory." she bowed.

Hickory: I dont blame you. i would not trust a random rookie either. -smiles- But i can sence your sadness... if you cant trust me, please speak to your friends. Sadness like that will eat your very soul, should you let it fester.

She shook her head and put a hand on Hickory's shoulder. "It's fine. That kind of sadness had already faded away. I'm only going outside to take a nice quiet walk around the HQ." she said, assuring Hickory.

Hickory smiled "If thats what you think, i wont press you" she noted honestly. "Mind if i join you? i'd like to walk off a bit of this meal"

"I don't mind at all. Actually, I'd like a companion." she said, smiling warmly at her. She had a nice feeling about this Pichu. She trusts her.

Hickory walks along with her and smiles, looking at her cloak "For a moment there i thought you were a Sylvan defender, but that cloak does not float like woodskin does, and i do not recognize that insignia. You wre in a millitary before?" "you dont have to tell me of course, but if you feel like it~"

"Oh, I guess I did. Though the previous training I only achieved are basics. I bet your wondering why I'm so skilled right now, yes? Well it's because I trained myself to create my own techniques and tactics." she explained while walking outside the cafeteria.

Hickory nodded as they got out of the building "i was on some kind of millitary as well, and your cloak kinda looked like what i used to wear. Sorry it got me curious." She briefly looks around for anyone "i do have some skill but i will be more than glad to share my skills and teach them to others."

"I don't mind teaching MY techniques to you either, Hickory." she said, nudging the Pichu by her elbow.

Hickory Grinned "I'd love that. i look forward merging your skills into mine. stronger we are, the more of the Undead we will be able to destroy at a time,, so any skill we can offer each other is a definite advantage."

"Yes. We should actually share our techniques to everyone else to gain an upper hand from the undead. By then, we'll be victorious on our main goal, to rid this place of the horrid creatures." she said, nodding in agreement.

"Only Thing that makes me dissapointed is that the adults seemed to have let this problem become so huge. i have fought undead before and they are not that hard to destroy. only there numbers make them a threat"Hickory shakes her head "But i guess we have to clean up that screw up now. Its not the firat time the next generation had to do something like that... sins of our fathers, am i right?" She chuckles a bit to make light of a dark situation

"True... That's why we should always look after our comrades in case they get in trouble. A lot of Pichus here aren't taking the situation seriously." she shrugged. She then laughs lightly at what Hickory said. "We might need some vacuum and brooms to clean the whole place up." she tried joking but failed miserably.

"I believe that they are all good pichus tho. at the vary least, we dont have to fear betrayal from most of them. at least thats a plus. and we could make them more deadly by sharing our skills aroundGive a pichu a fish and they will eat for a day, teach them to fish and they will feed themselves all there lives after all" she giggles, despite kit's failure at a joke "Broom? no. make that a Shovel! they stand absolutely no chance~!"

"Yeah. Trust is the foundation of an army. Trust your lives on your comrades and they'll do the same. And a shovel? Oh right! That makes much more sense!" she laughed a little louder than earlier.

"Exactly my thinking. we will only benefit from everyone being more skillful." Hickory's ears fold down some from the relaxation of this moment "Maybe if we bury the undead they'll stop raising"

"Burying them wouldn't exactly help, I guess. Isn't the ground where they came from?" she tilted her head slightly at Hickory.

Hickory blushes embarassed "seems that joke fell flat. oh well, you cant win them all" she shakes her head "and yeah tats about right, what actually works is destroying there brain or removing the head. A single hollow point round straight through the eye should hit the brainstem and expand, killing them instantly. It is a hard shot tho. "

"I know it's hard. But it usually depends on your skills if it were to be hard or not." she said, forming her hand into a gun and pretending to fire it then blew on it's tip.

"I guess thats correct. not all of us may have enough accuracy to do that. worse part is unless you hit them in the brainstem, they never stop, at least, not zombies."she looks down a bit "i am not worried about me or you, but people like Vienna or patches."

"Hey, no worries. We'll protect them if we have to, right? That's why we're a team." she said, putting a paw on Hickory's shoulder.

Hickory cheered up some "I guess you have a point, i just hope they either cover there weaknesses with training or know not to tackle missions beyond there abilities without help."

She nods yet again then suddenly slumped on her bum under the shades of the trees' leaves. She hasn't notice they've been walking for a while and thought it would be the right time to rest for a bit. "Yeah, they should put a little more effort on training and never forget to ask for help when needed."

-Hickory sits down gracefuly when compared to kits butslump- "I already offered to teach vienna first aid medical stuff, and i am not shy of sharing my admitedly silly looking but effective handgun shooting stances. They can laugh if they want. if they resort to them and get saved in a pinch, i will be happy. "

"Let's just say they'll appreciate the knowledge you shared with them when the time comes." she said, suddenly leaning at Hickory's back. "You don't mind me doing this, right?" she asked with a rather audible voice.

Hickory does not even breifly buckle over the sudden extra weight, however minor, revealing a bit of discipline "i dont mind. Just if you fall asleep there i will probably shake you awake 30 minutes before curfew" she muses a bit amused, but without even an ounce of hostility

Kit chuckles lightly. "I bet you will." she said, looking up into the sky. "Hey Hickory, do you feel like someone's out there, just waiting for you to come or meet 'em? Cuz that's what I feel whenever I look up into the sky." her eyes fluttered shut as she awaited her friend's answer. Thinking about any possible answers to her own question.

Hickory folded her ears back "We are not meant to be alone. In a universe so vast, theres bound to be someone who shares our ideals somewhere. Take us for example. we are similar despite not knowing each other till now" she tugs a bit on her memento "... yeah. theres bount to be people to be waiting for you to appear in there lives." Hickory chuckles a bit "Some times they even sneak in our lives right under our noses and we realise who they are later"
She notes a bit more seriously "You wont be alone, Auntie always said that no matter your ideals or morals, universe itself will give you people that needs you" she closes her eyes "Even if that is just the merchunaries members, there still people that need us, you know? by the end of our training, we will be brothers and sisters forged in the forges of battle, even if we retire with honors and veterancy, we will never seperate. bonds forged in such flame withstand the darkness of life."
Hickory blushes and blinks her eyes open "Geez... i rambled... sorry. Auntie did love her philosophy. I do feel theres a lot of truth in what she said, tho."

"If your auntie was here, she'd be sure to smile because I agree with her conclusion. Once a group of people bonds with each other, these bonds will never break no matter the situation. Even if somehow, they get separated. I'm sure those group of people will always remember one another and every moment they spent with each other. It's funny though, how someone who's very important to another's life won't be noticed until later on... Hopefully, it won't be too late for us to realize that." she said softly. "I wonder who and where that person could be though..." she spoke to herself.

Hickory smiles and speaks softly "As long as you keep your emotions open and your mind clear, you will find out someone very important. its by denying what we feel that we can ever become lonely" She smiles "Auntie always said we find out who is improtant when we are meant to, we could not have possibly found them earlier, because our perception is not ready, or because people change as they age" She muses a bit dream like "Key to finding them is staying aware of those around you~ auntie did not get into details, but apparently we will be able to "Tell" so long as we stay open and aware"Β
"All an all i guess what she was trying to say is "dont sweat your ears about it" I may not share aunties beliefs completely, but her wisdom feels true at least on the matters of life" Hickory sighs deeply " She always told me things that took me till now to understand, and some else taht i still have not decoded. She would not let anyone who met her to face life unarmed"
Hickory lets some silence lull before asking "Got any family waiting for you, Kit? I only have auntie... Parents perished from paranormals."

She pauses for a moment before looking away from the blue sky before speaking. "H-Hickory.... I don't seem to know... What family is anymore.." she whispered, sounding cautious that someone might here her. "I didn't really get to bond much time with my parents, all I know is that I hatched in a Pokemon Center and lived there for as long as I can remember. But I wasn't alone. This Pikachu, namely Alvin, stood up as my big brother." she smiled weakly, remembering all the memories they had together. "He always had time to be with me, his always there for me whenever I needed him most. He does care for my safety but also, he takes me with him in his adventures. Of course, we didn't go all too far from our 'home'". she explained.
"But then... A disaster happened...." her voice darkened. "We sneaked out of the Center at night. I didn't know back then that the night makes those... 'creatures' stronger and faster. But I was aware they exist. Now, Alvin told me we were going out at night and I agreed. Then later, we packed the necessary things we need and went out into a forest at the back of the said place." before she continued, she sighed. It was a pain for her to remember this memory every time.
"We were deep in the woods when we heard some rustling from the bushes. Alvin told me to stay behind him, and I did. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a bloodied Umbreon pounced on my big brother. I was swift enough to get out of the way before I get squished between him and the ground." she said as her face formed into a rather sad but angry expression.
"Let's just say, he gave me his last words, along with his knife. Then.... That's about it." she sighed.

Hickory's eyes have grown wide and voice becomes shaky "did not mean to dig an old wound..." she shakes her head and mentally reprimands herself aqbout forcing her new friend to rememberΒ "Auntie would say something about how he still watches over you but... i do not share her belief... not completely anyway"Β A tear slides down her cheekΒ "I know not of the existance of theΒ guardians, or the legitimacy of fabled powers of the legendaries. I know not where one goes when one dies, if at all"Β she looks back at Kit voice a bit more cheerfulΒ "but if there is indeed a "Valhala", i am sure your big brother is looking on, smiling proud."
(( Hickory's Childhood with both her normal chu parents and her radically different in philosophy aunt has left her with very conflicting beliefs to struggle with XD ))

Kit looks at Hickory and smiled at her. "I guess your right..." she said, her voice slightly shaky for holding in a few sobs. A tear had already formed on her eye and it's daring to fall, but thanks to Hickory's wise words and presence, she recovered a lot faster from her depressed state.

Hickory briefly removes her bandana and wipes the struggling tear off "Geez, sorry, did not mean to invoke sadness" she puts it back on and smiles.Β
