I really tried to find a way to use the tape brigade characters in my Transformers Regeneration universe that will make sense and still retain that G1 look and vibe but alas, no dice.

I don't know if they're called that officially. I figured that Soundwave and Blaster have a bunch of bots with them that transform into cassette tapes so i just called them that.

You know, I still remember that scene from the Transformers movie where Blaster begins broadcasting the distress call to Optimus Prime when the Decepticons begin attacking Autobot City. Right before Soundwave sends his obnoxious minions to disrupt Blaster's transmission.

This is my fist time seen Blaster as a car.Only I see Blaster as a jet in Transformers Classic/Universe toyline.

Thank you. Blaster was one of the first that i did so he has a sentimental value to me. And the fact that his design still stands up to my current batch says a lot.

the way you took his original alt mode and turn it into more of a ground base type. plus the vechicle can pass for a dune buggy. also the way you drew the robot mode reminds me of the 80's character design on the package.

That's not a dune buggy but rather an unreleased SUV prototype design. Ever since that i can remember i never did like characters like Perceptor, Soundwave, Shockwave, Blaster and Megatron simply because they turn into small immobile objects when they are over 30 stories tall, which to me doesn't make sense, in terms of height and scale. That's why i decided to give them alt modes that are more battle effective and makes more sense.

I wanted to make the characters fit the size and scale as if they existed in the real world, so you won't see them shrinking into guns, cassette players or etc which in my opinion doesn't make sense. Blaster was initially a challenge as so were the other non mobile Transformers like Megatron, Shockwave, Perceptor and Soundwave but it was fun. Doing this helps me relive my childhood.
