Description I did so much for this pic... so much... infact, I dont even want to start on how much I did to get this thing. Its worth it though... (maybe) Anyways, its a very well taken shot of what almost appears to be a sea of cities, thus the name. The company logos on the buildings are blurred, so I dont get sued for unpaid advertising. If I missed blurring any, I highly doubt you'll be able to see them, even if you zoom.

It must have taken a lot to get this shot. But it really is well worth it. Beautifully breathtaking.

This particular agglomeration may be identified as Toronto.

Toronto is a fantastic city, there's all sorts of stuff to do. I'd recommend going if you get the chance.

I haven't been to Chicago. Or at least, in a long time.

Nice pic, indeed.
Would you mind using it for derivative work (inside DeviArt, with credit'n'link)?

Yea, you had me wondering though, probably because there's no logos, but I recognised enough of the buildings when'd you go? I was up there 2 years ago or something.

I was up there this year... man, yet it seems so long ago, and yet at the same time the time passes so past and yet--- Oh screw it, I'm not going to waste your time with another theory about time. Anyways, I was up there about 5 months ago.

Great to see some of these pictures .. I like the style of your pictures. But it's a huge metropolis. Which makes me sad. Buildings rise from the ground. It starts from ashes and becomes big. But before you know it. It'll fall to the floor. I love nature . That's why I said that. But all in all this is a very nice picture !. Oh please don't see this as an attack Cause it isn't ! You Take Care Dude !

Brilliant stuff! What dids you do to get this shot...

FredStudios In reply to leaf-lover [2005-10-25 21:12:24 +0000 UTC]

-gulp- well, if you insist... first, I had to walk forever to get to the building, then, I had to stand in line for about an hour, accompanied with babies crying and toddlers screaming and being... toddlers. Then at last, when I got to the top of the tower I took the picture from, it took me forever to find a good place to shoot it. When I took it through the window, it just simply looked like crap, eventually, I got to this outer area with a net surrounding it, and had to put the camera up to the net. Fortunately, the holes in the net were big enough for me to shot a picture through without falling in a web. Now if you excuse me, I'll be getting the trash can.
