Description (Had to type this up once already >.<")

Newest monster of my Shirdal Heights shop in a height comparison chart next to the infamous Stick-Figure Man! >

Inspired by a creature in one of my favorite games, the Baku of Monster Rancher, this behemoth is the newest addition to my shop on Gaia: Shirdal Heights. Grazers of the plains, they are gentle giants known among all tribes for their kind nature. Rarely hunted due to their massive bulk that is no easy task to transport and tough hide, they have few enemies and don't fear much of anything. Sticking to the plains where the grass is plentiful and land is plenty they are easy to spot from quite a distance.

This big fella is a male. Distinguished by his large horns, the females grow to 10' at max, while their babies are three feet tall at the hump of muscle on their back. These creatures will be making an appearance in the next Shirdal Heights event coming soon. :3

Shirdal Heights (c) Ran-Ran-Chan (me), Monster Rancher (c) Techmo, Gaia (c).... erm, Lanzer I think?

My one gripe about Baku from Monster Rancher is that he doesn't even look like he is based off of the mythical creature, Baku. Aren't Baku's supposed to be anthropromorphic tapirs or elephants that can devour people's dreams? (Not just basing that off of Pokemon.)

yes, the tapirs were regarded as a dream eater. however, they were for nightmares. you could call upon them before you went to sleep and they would make sure the nightmares were eaten before they reached your head. kind of like the dream-catchers in native american lore.
i dont know if they were called baku or not, but they appeared as a tapir to the person, but did have an anthropomorphic like form which was supposed to be their "true" form.

sorry i know this post is old. but...yah...

I don't think they were ever anthropomorphic in nature as a mythical creature, but I like Baku from MR. They're one of my favorites, as well as one of the most annoying to fight at higher levels.
