As for Derpy and the whole controversy surrounding her: I think it's ridiculous.
removing/altering her just because SOMEONE thinks she is offensive.
I think Derpy is the MLP counterpart to Disney's "Goofy"
Similar Name, Similar Personality.
(they even both re the single parent of one child, if you count Dinky as canon)

Soi let me get this strait: Soccer moms don't like the ideas of ponies being unique, but they don't give a crap when OTHER things are unique?!

Also, I heard that SEVEN soccer moms thought she was offensive. So Hasbro or whatever gives in to SEVEN soccer moms against a WHOLE FREAKING FANDOM. Thank god the war is over.

She was censored. I still don't know what the story is about future episodes. :/ Some say she's only been "de-Derpy"ed on that iTunes thing, others say she's not going to appear much anymore in the show in future episodes, etc etc etc. I don't really know who to believe yet.

Bleh... they took her name away, too. :/ And changed her voice to that god-awful one. I dunno if it's the only instance where they did it, or if it'll be like that for the rest of the show. I sure hope not. I loved the original, first Derpy voice.
