Description An extremely large and high calibre weapon of industrial era theme.
Not meant to be fired unless mounted to a wall or other fixed objects.

This little dev is a derivative from my prevous submission. (having similar textures). But never the less, a completely unique design.

100k vertexs and around 5.5 hours work

I suppose the pic is abit oversized, but meh, I'll try and pose more appropriate resolution pic in the future.

It's all to do with the contrast. as mentioned by a Mentalray renderer tip.

what do you use? I'm looking at learning blender, reckon that's a good idea?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Freelancer89 In reply to foreverstorm [2006-12-25 01:11:42 +0000 UTC]

I used a.. 'borrowed' version of Maya.

Blender is okey, if you're willing to put the manhours into learning it's rather confusing interface.

if you're a beginner I recommend you use Anim8or. It's much more straight forward, and it comes with a guide

I would like to exactly WHAT makes this riffle high-powered and its reason for the supposed extreme recoil.

Other then that, I LOVE industrial themed stuff, steampunk technology, I adore it, your design has some familiarities with things I've seen but it's very very nice, good job!

The model is has about 100k vertices in it, so it might lag abit on a game engine.
But.. sure. Tell me yer email and I'll send the file.

oh yeah.. and uh. what format? 3ds. or Obj.

TheCoconutGuy In reply to Freelancer89 [2006-09-05 07:54:43 +0000 UTC]

oh and thanks! lol

TheCoconutGuy In reply to Freelancer89 [2006-09-05 07:54:29 +0000 UTC]

don't get me wrong - this will not be for a computer game, but for a pen & paper rpg. So there is no real game engine
Actually, for now, this file here is more than enough. If I need another file format, I still can note you, right?
