Description In memory of those lost 6 months ago, God bless them and their families. In November 2000 I visited NYC for the first time and took these photos, not knowing of course that one year later the twins would be gone.

My favorite image. The twins together.

beautiful - thank you for the memory of the day I walked on the roof way back in 1987 - I still can't believe the towers have gone.

they certainly were some monstrous creations, I have been looking at these monstrous creations in my own locality lately in a different light, I mean they say a lot of these buildings have really long useful lives? but then what about the occasional accident and such, bridges do fall down, if ya want to see a bridge that is on the same magnitude as the golden gate falling down, look at gaoloping girtie,

[link]

the Tacoma Narrows bridge when it fell down from typical winds, but then that isn't even the really big question, there are thousands and thousands of these skyscrapers, and hte only thing that keeps them from toppling, is their weakest links, just the whole idea of building to the sky seems a short sighted one, as well as the monstrous dams we have in place, its only inevitable they are going to burst and cause horrific floods downstream, its a statistical certainty I would guess, just like earthquakes, windstorms, and the earth spinning, a undeniable law of nature that says all things deteriorate, and what happens when things like "this" deteriorate? aye this picture does capture how huge they were, great shot, really like the composure, as for the rest, well I could only imagine it happening naturally eventually, which is even more scary than the idea of halfway expecting some angry person to do what Nature will do in its own do course, why do they build therse things? oye yoy yoy, they are demonstrabty huge risks to life in my opinion, but then it all revolves around prestige and maximum return on real estate, the darn real estate industry LOL,

wow. awesome photo and perpective.

it's instantly recognizable. and it's a shame i'll never have the chance to photograph it.

as a photo of any old building - it's nice.. the perspective is good even tho the right tower seems a little - off compared to the left. but it's awesome how you get a "towering" feeling

but as a photo of the WTC - considering everything. and how rare this is now. this is going in my faves.

thanks
