Description
All is calm and the battles have been fought, but the traces of the past stay, as in an ear half-bitten-off, and residual sadness in the eyes sometimes. Made this drawing and finally finished it today, reminiscing a little about past fights and wounds, and how scars can remind you that you have overcome, and are stronger today. As they say, the worst revenge you can extract on someone who wanted to destroy you, is by living a fulfilling life and being happy and that's what I'm doing. So here's a drawing to celebrate that and my future expo is approaching, and this piece will be among all the others.
...and I'm not a summer person at all lol, some days ago we were eating outside with some friends and I was the only one who got bitten by mosquitoes, 7 freaking times, huge bites... noone else even once.. I don't like summer and summer doesn't like me I'm waiting patiently for november and the SNOOOWWW meanwhile I can dream a bit about it with a nice winter drawing after all these dreadful tropical heat days we've had
Made primarly with museum aquarelle colored pencils, wet on the background, and some acrylic white for the snowflakes.
Here's this song by the talented Laleh that I was listening to a lot these days especially while drawing, that I listened to non stop back in 2006, and that has a special place in my heart:
It's cold around me, the night is young
The sun has fallen
And I've become the lonely one
The moon is dancing among the clouds
And my knees are shaking
And my dreams are braking
But I know I live
But I know I live, today
I know we could Live Tomorrow
(Live Tomorrow)
But I know I live today
I know we could Live Tomorrow
But I don't think we should wait, no
I know we could Live Tomorrow
But I know I live today
I know we could Live Tomorrow
But I don't think we should wait, no
I know we could (We could)
Taking my life in my hands!
(The power who has it?)
Taking my life in my hands!
(The power who has it?)
'Cause I, I don't like to wait!
No, no, it's happening, huh, It's happening
I don't like to wait!
No, no, it's happening
I know we could live tomorrow
But I know I live today
