The Chequer's Ring is one of a few surviving pieces of jewelery worn by Elizabeth I (1533-1603) of England containing a self-portrait alongside a comely woman in a classic French hood--the characteristic fashion of her late mother Queen Anne Boleyn (c. 1501-1536) 👑. In recent months I have avidly listened to British Writer Claire Ridgway's Youtube Channel 'The Anne Boleyn Files and Tudor Society', a companion to her website TheAnneBoleynFiles.com.
