Description
All true. The eyelashes, the barbecue sauce, the hair clippings: all true.There's a special kind of insanity that comes with being an artist.
Fortunately, the thought was a fleeting one, and I didn't actually dive into the trash can to retrieve my trimmings.

I'm also a bit of a Ms. Fix-it. My general thoughts when it comes to saving things is "I could use this to fix something later..." or "This could be used for a neat art project."

Not that I'm being creepy and reading all of your back log comics or anything, but the hair thing? I had a friend in art college who totally submitted requests to everyone in the school every semester for their drain hair, brush hair, haircut hair, anything long enough to weave. . . That was her entire junior and senior year.

I have two ziplock bags filled with random crap just in case I need it. Pins shaped like waitresses from the 50s, buttons, shells, broken bits from a car's breaklight...
So yeah, this made me snicker XD

hehe, nice one... I did actualy have the same idea some time ago... I whas planing to make a puppet that had my own hair on it, so when I kut my hair of, I saved it, but now 4-5month later, I'm not so exited over the idea anny more. I think it is a bit creepy

When I was in art school, I took a class in performance art. One guy there did a routine about getting his hair cut short, and he used his shorn locks as a prop.

I do that with cereal boxes. I store them up, under the impression I will one day construct a magnificent fortress.

After moving into a house several years ago, we cleaned out the attic to find dozens upon dozens of aluminum TV dinner trays. Maybe the old lady who lived there before us was planning on building her own fort...or a bomb shelter!
