Hey everyone! It's been a while! Life's been super busy as of late and I haven't been able to pick up my pen and tablet for aaaagggeess. Also, I had a motorbike crash before everything became super busy which crushed the cartilage in my drawing hand making it excruciatingly sore to pick up and hold anything, which kinda put me off drawing for a while :/Whilst I'm not fully recovered from the crash I've been taking my "hand rehab" in small steps and have finally been able to draw something good and proper!!
Anyways, what you see here is in fact an OC of ViViVooVoo whom I consider to be one of my favourite artists/best internet friend.
Why did I decide to draw Vi's character Rene? Well aside form her being the initial reason I watched Vi all those years ago she's just a darned-diggity all round bad-ass character!! And she's got a flaming chest to boot! What's not to love!?!
Normally Rene has a red overcoat of sorts but basically my hand couldn't hold out for very much longer and I had to scrap it. I'll try harder next time Vi, I promise!!

But I thank you all the same! I just hope the recovery has been positive up till now. Though judging from this piece, I can see you can definitely put out shweet pieces out now! Gives me the bizarre idea that you can hook Rene to a hanger using her ahoge now, lol. You really portrayed her here well for sure. I've always been a bit sceptical how people would receive her transition from being a

To be honest though I think it was a bit of a fluke how well Rene turned out because all of the smaller practice doodles I did to strengthen my wrist really left something to be desired...
And I've loved every iteration of Rene, but currently I think she's definitely at her best because mischievous, badass characters are my absolute favourite thing! It's somewhat of a weakness actually
Also, there's no need to return the favour so to speak because I have a tendency to draw new characters all the time and never actually draw them again which is a bit upsetting. I have no universe planned out in my head where all of the OC's can belong which is upsetting because they probably deserve it, hahahaa!

Uh... on a more serious note, you definitely did well! I mean, just checking your previous works, one can tell the standard's still there with no deterioration despite the injuries!
Really glad to hear that kind of view on 'ol Rene though. I need to do a piece of her myself sometime, but as you might have noticed, I've been more preoccupied with drawing pokegirls with huge boobs, and being a consensual Request Slave lately.
And perhaps you might want to think about merging the best of your OCs into an Alpha OC, who can stay in one place finally!

Being a consensual request slave is fine as long as you're enjoying it! Definitely take a break from drawing other people's characters if it means you can concentrate on something that would be more meaningful to you though! I personally would love to see more of your OC's and possibly glance into the wondrous workings of your imagination
I might try and merge some characters together although I know for a fact they too will end up just being forgotten about, hahaa :/

It all comes with practice! And patience... a lot of patience.
I've been drawing on and off for just under 20 years so I believe me when I say you'll catch up to the both of us soon enough! It's always amazing to see how far you've improved after a years time ^^
