Tadashi Hamada is Hiro Hamada's older brother, Baymax's creator and is good friends with GoGo Tomago, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred. In other words he is the one that brought Big Hero 6 together; when he brought his brother to San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.

Tadashi tried to keep Hiro out of trouble and not to use his brain and robotic skills in Bot Fights, so when words wouldn't get to him he showed his brother SFIT and what he would do there as a student. His words like 'use that big brain of yours,' 'look for a new angle,' and 'someone has to help' helps Hiro when he was stuck and kept him going since the night he ran into the burning Showcase building to a save a man's life. Tadashi maybe gone, but he lives on inside his brother.
