Description  This aircraft is a model of a fictinal Syrian Air force JAS 39 Gripen piloted by Captian Adel Al Zia of the 20th Air Division in my original story ROBOTWARS.

This was my first attempt in painting a plastic model, that said, I think I did a good job. Still room for a lot of improvement without a doubt, in fact this is perhaps the best view of the craft, any other angle and I think it would look crappy ^^"
But in any case I hope you like it.

It was Octobor 12th 2018. Adel Al Zia was patroling the skies of Aleppo as a wing man to his captian Abdul Ali in a Mig-21 Bis. He spoted two fighters on his raidar screen, believing that they were friendly Syrian or Russian fighters Captian Abdul gave no orders to the squadron consisting of 7 Migs. (3: Mig-21 Bis and 4 Mig-29 Fulcrum )
However they were not friendly fighters, they were Daesh F-15 Uqabs and their sidewinders fired at the squadron with deadly accuracy and pricision, the first two missiles hitting Abdul and the other leaders Fulcrum.
the squadron took evasive action, the other two Mig-21 Bis fled while the Zia and the remaining two Fulcrums fought on. Zia was ordered to run but he realized that the F-15 Uqabs were targeting the Fulcrums and were ignoring him.
He had an advantage, but he was ordered to fle. He did not want to disobey a direct order but he knew that he had to fight, expecting a court marshal once back on the ground, he moved to intersept, firing one of his R-77 air to air missiles at a close range of 1.5 kms, He hit the tail section of the Uqab and destroyed its left elevator.
Losing the ability to manuver, it tried to fle with its powerful engines but Zia took chase with its top speed of mach 1.8, the damaged Uqab was then gunned down by Zia, hitting its engines and exploding in a fireball.
This was Zia`s first confermed kill of a manned enemy fighter but his celebrations were short lived, the other Uqab was now chasing Zia with ease and was ready to take him down and claim vengionse of his fallen wingman.
The two fulcrums were chasing the Uqab but they were worried of their missiles accedendly hitting Zia`s Mig-21, thus they were trying to get close to gundown the Uqab. a hellish 10 minute dogfight occured with Zia dodging 4 missiles, ending with the Fulcrums gunning down the Uqab, the kill belonging to Second Lieutenant Hassan.
The Three returned to their base....only to learn that they had no base, the runway was bombed out and the two Migs that fled eariler were shot down near by. Zia knew once seeing his former homebase destroyed that the war was not over yet as they flew to the capital.

December 20 2018, two months since Daesh forces made a return. The skies now belonged to Daesh fighters, the Syrian Air Force was at hiding. The Russians flew back to their mother land and Iraq and Iran were fighting in their homeland, the war can not be won without air superiority.
Thankfully, the Syrian Air Force was given a break oddly thanks to the navy, Admiral Karim who was leading the charge of capturing pirate ships found five such ship with an unsual cargo, Sweedish made Saab JAS 39 Gripens, 50 of them to be exact with full load of missiles and guidance systems.
It was just in the nick of time with the Syrian SAM units having more and more difficulties shooting down the Daesh fighters, they needed a short runway fighter like the JSA 39. Zia now a Captian after his heroric act that saved his squadronmates, hatched a plan to use air guerilla tactics to fight, intercept and counter Daesh forces.
Training with the plane near Jordon having 100 hours of flying time under his belt, he and his new squadron were ready to fight the enemy, uising the Syrian infrastucture as runways, the now dubbed "Highway patrol"
Gave critical air support for ground opperations while fighting head on to the Daesh airforce. Zia earned his colonel rank because of the success of this opperation, and when the city of Hama was under attack the experiance he gained here would be used to creat the Ain Alloza Airfield.

I hope you enjoyed and like aways tell me your thoughts and leave a comment ^-^

Thank you for asking, I don't even know where to start. First I lost a dear companion, my parrot. I ended up burying him in a large flower pot and planted his favorite seeds on top. To be honest I'm still stuck in the denial stage because everyday I hear his screech and I can't help but mimic his sound back at him just like we use to do before...anyways. In order to fill that void in my heart and try to recover from the grief, I bought a little chameleon hatchling as a new pet. However, chameleons are not known for their emotional expression so I finally bought a sugar glider. Pictures of him coming soon~ so overall I'm doing okay. How are you?
