This was actually a part of something completely different drawn for an awesome friend of mine. But I decided to separate and color this cuz I thought it was cute. And no, Fear isn't wearing his sweater vest. It makes sense in context, I promise.
Like in the story Out of Place, I enjoy when Fear and Anger have a sort of brotherly-type relationship. Even though Anger tends to attack Fear at pretty normal intervals... >w< But the little noodle is always trying his best to reach out to the angry square. But he should really know better than to try and hug Anger. That was partially his own fault. ._. (still, I don't think he deserved to be strangled in response. I flashed to Homer and Bart)
So enjoy this tiny doodle of one of the rare moments these two negative feelings are getting along.

I'm so used to these two being enemies. You know how bad it is in my universe. Well that cartoon added more fuel to my fire as evidence of how mean and uncalled for Anger is. I will make refs to all the stuff like that in time. Though there are those times when Fear deserves it for over reacting way too much. Nice drawing.

Yeah, it is a pretty stark contrast to the two in your universe. >w< I can understand using that as evidence. He gripped him so hard, you could hear something cracking. O_o Kind of a harsh reaction when he was just trying to be nice.
Then again, when Fear is panicking about receiving rabies from an obviously dead animal when rabies are transmitted via saliva (and rats and mice dont really spread rabies well, like raccoons or bats), then I can understand getting frustrated with him. Especially when he's scraping his shoes across Anger's head as he scrambles on top of him.

Yes that one bugged me because it's the only time he was brave. He stood up for Anger and he's the one that got punished. No stuff like that is what has influenced my story.
In the short where the teacher calls on them it was dumb of him to run around the room and Joy ask Anger to stop him and he punches him. One of the times I think it was deserved. But not what happens after that.

Oh, my goodness! This is too adorable! I agree with Meek's assessment; it looks like Anger's good-naturedly teasing him, and Fear's being a darn good sport about it. I do enjoy bromance between these two, but it's so darn rare in both pics and fics. That's one reason I love your story; you keep everybody totally IC, yet you write the gang even more tenderly than what is shown in the movie. 
Fear looks really cute without his sweater! Just out of curiosity, what made you decide to draw him without it?

Uhhhh heh... Actually, this was originally part of a comic like thing that I made for a friend. It had dialogue and everything. This was just the last panel. But he was just getting dressed at the start of the comic, so he hadn't put the vest on yet. I'd post the entire comic, but it's pretty ship-y. It was made as a gift specifically for a friend who supports an IO ship. (no, it wasn't feanger >w< )

Yeah, he was just getting dressed in this comic. I'd post the whole thing, but like I said, it was made for a friend and is all ship-y and stuff. And I know some people don't really like ships, so I didn't want to offend anyone.

That's pretty much what was happening in the comic, heh. Anger was poking fun at him, but Fear ultimately knew that he was only teasing.
Yeah, I'm actually kind of surprised at how many people liked the lack of the sweater vest! Honestly, it was just for a gag at the start of the comic. >w< Fear wasn't wearing a shirt at all in the first panel.

Fear looks great in that shirt! I like his sweet little face and Anger's smile, even though he's obviously still trying to keep up his tough guy persona.
It's nice to see some fanart of these two getting along. A lot of people tend to ship these two, but I'd much rather see more bromance myself. Thanks for filling that need!

Yeah, it's easier to find Feanger art than it is to find pictures of them just bein' buds. I wish more people drew brotherly pictures of them, but alas. >w< Funny that you mention ships though, cuz the full version of this may or may not have revolved entirely around a separate ship.

I wish there was more artwork of these two like this, that depicts their brotherly relationship. That's just one of my favorite things in your Out Of Place story. ^^ It sounds like you're referring to the "Mind Candy" segment. Lol, poor Fear(Let's hug it out bro), he tries so hard to get along with Anger. Maybe they need to make a journey together like Joy and Sadness did.XD
It's interesting to see Fear without his sweater vest, but I like it. And I love the expressions on both emotion's faces. Anger looking happy for once and Fear looking just as happy with a hint of surprise that for once he's not on the receiving end of Anger's wrath. A rare moment between the two indeed, but so darn adorable.^^ Great job.

Yeah, there was a lot more to this drawing originally. It had dialogue as well, but I removed it. Fear just hadn't put his sweater on yet. It was SO HARD to overcome the urge to draw it, since that's what I'm used to. But I was really happy with the pose and expressions on this part, so I felt like I had to finish it.

That one scene with Anger and Fear after Riley's talk with Anger always makes me smile. You managed to make it heartwarming without making Anger out of character.^^
Lol, maybe Fear hopes that if he keeps trying to be friendly with Anger, he'll eventually make a break through? Joy's optimism must be rubbing off on him a bit.XD Or maybe since very one else was making fun of Anger, he thought Anger would be grateful for him(Fear) not joining in. But yeah, you'd think he'd learn by now. Well, if Mr. Anderson's Fear and Anger learned to get along, than there's still hope for these two.
I think it's a nice little change since we're always seeing Fear in his sweater vest. It makes the pic a bit more interesting. Are you ever going to post up the whole pic? Cause now you've got me curious(But if not that's fine. It's completely up to you). You should feel happy with the poses and expressions cause they came out great. They put a lot of character into this pic.

It was fun to draw a different outfit, even if it was just a lack of a sweater, heh. I wasn't really planning on posting the whole thing.

I can totally understand how hard it must've been to keep Anger in character, yet have him show regret over his actions, but I think you pulled it off well. Like ShyChick said, you write them more tenderly than what was shown in the movie without breaking any of their character( I would've love to have seen more stuff like that in the movie). I saw in one of your comments that the comic was a StarNerve one, I wouldn't mind seeing it. While I myself don't ship any of the emotions, I admit, I find some of the StarNerve ones rather cute. But whether you want to post it or not is entirely up to you.
