HD graphite on cotton paper.Drawn for a friend's birthday - don't do much pencil stuff these days, should get back into it!

Fabulous! I feel as though I'm looking at something in
an old family photo album.
What I like about this pencil rendering is the fact that you's used subtle shades without resorting to drawing the outlines of objects, first, and then filling the areas in.
Everything looks soft and hazy, yet stops short of being too feint. It must have taken you quite a while to do this.
The only thing I can really criticise is the size of the paper in relation to the actual drawing. I think it wouold have looked better if the panel was cropped at the sides.
It's not necessarily a problem with typical "vignette" pieces, but it looks like wasted space here.

Thanks duraluminwolf! Yeah, I didn't crop the paper as I was giving this to someone, and wasn't sure if they'd want to frame it and if so, what size frame etc. Should've cropped the image for posting on here though, you're right
