isn't genetic, like huskies,*
Also, I meant that aussies are genetically brown, even the blue-eyed ones. Or you'd see blue=eyed solids, too (blue-eyed cryptic (no longer cryptic) and sable merles (one easy way to tell if they carry merle) can also happen, tho').
Sorry about the spam XP

Similar to the colored spots on his nose being caused by the white spotting failing to reach the nose, the blue fleck in the eye is caused by the white spotting reaching the iris and pigmentation it. Although the white spotting pattern is passable, it's not meant to be genetic blue eyes (gene for blue... and green eyes? I don't know XP) nor genetic heterochromia (gene for bi-colored eyes).
Well, there've been heterochromic capos before (more in the earlier days). People seem to have it caused by some sort of heterochromic gene, but I'd always attributed mine to white spotting (blue eyes by genes, like huskies, is quite different from blue by merle or white spotting or albino depigmentation). Reason I do is because I don't know of any real heterochromic gene in dogs besides hazel (kind of), always just caused by white spotting (so it's always blue and depigmented blue, honey and depigment blue, etc). It'd happen in any dog breed with the wrong white pattern (it's usually bred away from because white touching the eyes also causes blindness). In aussies, for example, the blue isn't genetic, my huskies, it's a merle action (they're genetically brown).
Did any of that make sense? XD; (Do give me an honest opinion.)
And thanks~
And also thanks for asking, cause I probably wouldn't have gotten around to explaining much.
