Description
This is a drawing requested by AKA for her mom's birthday. She wanted a drawing of the goddess Artemis with a wolf at her side. But I really wanted something more dynamic than just a standing pose. Also I tried to incorporate some archery equipment into her costume like the gauntlet and chest protector.Anyway, I hope she likes it.
I had a lot of trouble figuring out what to do with the background. But since Artemis is usually pictured with a crescent moon and cypresses. I tried to add that. Also there's a nod to Orion in the 3 stars to the left.

nice drawing. i like the colours, very light and delicate, and the figures are well worked on. there is a bit of a composition problem to the piece that I've noticed though. the wolfs hind legs and tail lead you straight out of the picture. i think if you made them end a little closer to the crescent moon it would fix that, but i realize that would be a lot of work since your picture is already finished, so just a heads up for next time. (also... the hind legs look kind of odd. did you look at reference pictures when you drew the wolf?)
but like i said. i love the colours and the characters. very lovely

Thank you so much for your comments. I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to offer up a critique. I definitely agree that the wolf's tail should come up a bit so that it's not as sudden a stop... it would help the composition. As for your question about references, yes, I did look at pictures on the internet of wolves leaping... but I chose to make the legs as they are because that's what I saw in my mind. And it seemed a bit more graceful having the wolf like a single swooping line rather than break that line and do the legs in a more realistic manner. I really debated that point with myself but in the end I preferred them the way they are now. Thank you again for your comments and critiques... Like I said it's nice to see someone take the time for someone they don't even know!

No trouble! It was kinda nice doing something that was a bit different than what I usually do. I didn't have someone else's design to work from and I had to make it up as I went along.

Well... you did a picture a while ago of Michiru and Haruka which I fell completely in love with... would you be able to do 3-4 pics of my OC rhapsody and her love interest Seiya (star fighter). Take your time, no need to rush with these ones ^^. just whenever you have the time. If you like the practise then I'll keep requesting lol. Just let me know if you can't do something I ask for or if you get tired of doing requests for me kay? thanks heaps.
also some more michiru and haruka pics would do great in your gallery.

Well Rhapsody and Derek are both two of my own characters from my Sailor moon fanfiction so hm... how about a classic fairy tale setting? maybe the old sleeping beauty scene where the prince kisses her and she has just woken and is looking into the eyes of her prince who is kneeling by the bed? to be honest, as long as it has those two characters in it and it shows the loving relationship between them despite him being a character of the darkness and her being a part of the light then you have the freedom to add your own touch to it. I like giving you that freedom because it makes it more than just a request art, it makes it more your work if you know what I mean. Also it'll be great if you do some more uranus x neptune pics ^^ I look forward to it. But if your injured wrist is the hand you write with then I'd like you to wait until you speak with your doctor about it, I wouldn't want you to do any permanent damage to it.

I've noticed yur drawngs of them have taken a turn towards the darkside. I didn't realize you were so dark. Do you have fanfiction somewhere I can read?

I've had people ask me about that and I haven't had the chance to post them. unfortunately my comp had a break down a short time ago and much of my fanfics were lost however i am in the process of re-writing them so as soon as they're done, I will let you know. ^^ I also had to add the darkness into it because that is what makes a good storyline. can't have a good senshi story with lots of love, fighting and romance without an enemy coming in to cause problems lol. I've been working with bases recently as well to improve my drawing skill some though it's not going too well
