Really beautiful work. Although, for the commissioner, I would ask: revenge on who? Romulus?

I guess it's a mother trying to avenge one of her sons.

Wonderful. The roman costume is really well thought and done. The colors are really nice and the emotions... my, I can feel it right through the drawing.
Congratulations, very nice work !

OK, I have to ask. What is this series called and where can I find it?

I remember learning about the story of Remus and Romulus and how they were raised by a wolf, or some dog beast, back in my high school western civ. class. This is a really awesome take on that! Amazing detail and incredible emotion on Janus's face/pose!

Seeing how sad she is,and if we knew eachother.
I wished I could've called her as I'm running to her to hug her.

That mural in the back draws my attention there. Did you do the whole composition in a single part or did you draw character and backgroun separately? =3
π: 0 β©: 1
froggiechan In reply to avencri [2011-02-11 00:31:29 +0000 UTC]
i drew them on a separate layer, so I could check on the whole composition. I have had to shift them around, and even add the width of the canvas until I found a decent one

My Latin is not that strong yet. May I ask what that inscription on the wall means?
π: 0 β©: 1
froggiechan In reply to erutan2099 [2011-01-18 22:25:06 +0000 UTC]
It means "The wonderful bond of unity". I picked it up from famous Latin quotes. I have zero knowledge in Latin except Vini, Vidi, Dormi, lol...

i love this! are you planning to make more images of this or, possibly, a series?
π: 0 β©: 1
froggiechan In reply to GameraGX [2011-01-18 00:11:15 +0000 UTC]
Well, it is a commissioned work, so depends on the commissioner if he wanted to do a series of it. But I don't think it's possible at the moment, since I'm a bit busy.
