Heh yeah. They've got such style for oldies. I love the light they have. Maybe its a drama thing, but its so enchanting I rekon.

They may be oldies now, but at the time (and long after their time) it was very fresh. They didn't need huge gods, tons of nude women, tortured saints and thunderclouds and lightning for drama - just light falling on a table or a wrinkled face.

Mmmm yeah I agree. I have nothing against religion, but sometimes I find paintings with that subject matter can be too melodramatic, and less real. Thats a really good way of describing Vermeer - Fresh. Cause it is. They seemed so real to me.
