This is a gift I've done for
He requested that his character be loved upon by these two lovely ladies. I originally wanted to color something pre-existing lineart, but I'm very happy to have actually done it myself. I'm so used to drawing my own characters, its good to get out of my element once in a while. I've spent probably a total of 6 hours on this, I feel dumb because I know some people who turn out stuff that looks 100X better in half the time. I'll have to get a wacom tablet soon. My three mice combo just isn't doing it for me anymore. (pen-mouse, remot logietech with uber buttons, and my trackball) Anyway, this was a little stressful since I've been trying to get it done before I leave on my trip tommorow. I have a cramp in my shoulder from keeping it in the same position for so many hours straight. Hmmm, not sure why I'm complaining here, probably shoudl talk more about the art.

I really like how this turned out, I'm going to have to experiment to try to get rid of my crappy lineart in the future, I'm sure the tablet is the key I'm missing.

The two lady characters are Mihoshi from Tenchi and Kitsurubami from FLCL. Tenchi and FLCL are both animes and these are truly some of my favorite characters, so its been a pleasure drawing them.

The "lucky" male character in the center is the concept of Shadowlarkmoon, the character's name is Derabe.

The background is done using mostly a watercolor brush in Photoshop. I did the bench with fill texture and some light black painting.

Tools used: My own two hands, occasionally assisted by a foot or two. Photoshop CS and Caffine!
Completion Time: approx. 6-8 hours
Injuries incurred: Shoulder cramp and tendonitis in my wrist. (I'm taking a week off so no worries.)
Music listened to incessantly throughout: "DubDub" and the entire Pirates of the Caribean(I know i spelled it wrong, I don't care.) soundtrack.
