Released!Ulquiorra has been getting lots of love lately, but I've kind of missed his old look. So I indulged.Mmm I probably should have spent more time on this and made it a bit cleaner, but meh. I'm still relatively pleased, all things considered.

But anywho, I'm happy the lighting worked out! I'm finding that doing it that way is pretty fun...

OOo i just really took a close look at this.and here is my thoughts:
okay so what drew me was her at first, she always seems so good, almost too good. 8)
but that is a good thing because then i look at the man.
WHo is deffinitely a bad boy (so to speak) but then when i looked really close the main point in the picture changed for me. I noticed a small thing and that was his eye. and then i thought Curiosity. he is not looking ahead like she is so he is deffinitely not focused on what she is looking at but focused on her, and to me i think it would be because he loves her and sees her stregnth and power. then i noticed he was crying and it kinda made me think he was crying because he couldnt belive someone so...(cant think of the right word) evil maybe (not really but i think youll get me) could be with someone so wonderful.
I like that and it was a small thing but told a big story. Its all about the eyes isnt it.
this may not be what you where thinking but that is what i got from looking at this beautiful picture.
one thing i will say. work on his hair a little. i like his hair but there is something missing about it. i dont know what but you will think it over i am sure.
other than that love this picture! and great job on it 8)

What really drew me to this pairing in the first place was that everything about it was so SUBTLE. It was a pairing where everything had to be read between the lines, and it was all about the things that weren't said... definitely one of those "actions speak louder than words" situations. Ulquiorra seemed to have this fascination with her and the way she thought and acted, and I just really wanted to directly play with that idea in this picture. Even when he won't directly act on it, there's this feeling that he's drawn by her humanity, even if she's oblivious to her effect on him.
Haha yes, his hair is a bit flat, huh? I was worried about highlighting it too much because of the pencil lines beneath it... it started looking a bit dirty or something when I lightened it. Probably something I should have thought of earlier... -__-

and i am gla dthat i hit the nail dead on! and you know i am humbled even more when i get to look at such amazing work, it is very inspirational to me. and you knwo i love to analyze pictures because it seems people dont take the time to do it any more, which can be very discouraging, but i actually love looking at the picture and then looking closer and trying to figure it all out and then writing a long discriptive comment to the artist! It good for both of us. 8)
and the pairing is really subtle and mysterious and i like how they are very two sided like a real person, there are things that lie under the obvious drawing! which for me brings characters to life!
yeah and i get what you say about the hair. sometimes that does happen. and you dont want a hair style like this looking dirty, cause the colours are supposed to be the eccentricity and the peicy bits. but atthe same time just keep working on the hair, so that you get it looking a little bit more hair like and not just coloured shapes. You will get it i know you! lol and its no big deal.

I'm so glad that this arrangement is so beneficial to both of us. It's so nice to hear that you think my art is inspirational, and the way you convey your thoughts about the pictures is very inspirational to me. 
Yeah, I definitely should have thought a little bit about how to do his hair and cleaned up my sketch more. u___u Alas my laziness... half the time it ends up making more work for me later on. It's pretty unfortunate. At least sometimes I get my crap together. XD

He does need more love. I guess it's just the fact that his released form has only been around for a handful of weeks, whereas his unreleased one had been seen for years. Still... more love needed indeed.
