Description I haven't made a full picture in foreeever. I feel rusty. Then again, my tablet is dying... u___u

Anyway, I got to see Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea yesterday, which was pretty much fantastic. I'm all for angst and drama, but I do need some variety occasionally, and it was just so incredibly cute and captured the nature of little kids wonderfully. Mmm... *wants to see again*

So I wanted to make some fanart of Ponyo and Sosuke when they were older, because it sounded like fun and I can't draw kids anyway. XD Not that I'm really happy with the results like this, but that has less to do with the sketch and more to do with... everything else. >__>

This was one of the most absolutely adorable movies I've ever seen. I absolutely loved it. This is a great drawing, very realistic and believable. Good job.

It was SOO adorable. I saw it twice in the theatres and then rented it once when it came out on DVD... I'm pretty sure I'll have to buy it soon, too. It just so perfectly captured the way children act. Anyway, I'm happy that you like the picture. Thank you!

They're from the new (in America) Miyazaki film, "Ponyo". Which is greeeeeat fun if you like his work and need something happy and jolly and fun to watch. *enthusiastic nod*

Anyway, Oh NOOOOOOES!!! XD Haha yeah, at this point I've pretty much sworn off Twilight in all its forms, sooooo I guess you won't ever have to wonder about that, huh? *snort* But anyway, yes, I would definitely recommend the film. I did all sorts of aaaw-ing and happy bouncing through the whole thing. It's just cute.

I know, right???? I was more full of happy squee than I have been in a really long time. It was absolutely amazing... I was pleasantly surprised.

Anyway, I'm glad you like this. I'm still undecided in my own feelings about it, but it's reassuring to hear such things nonetheless.

I know, so was I! My sister and I are big Miyazaki fans (she actually went to the Ghibli Museum in Japan that features his works) so we were really excited to see it

It really is cute! The bright colors really give a happy, care-free feel to it. You captured the mood/tone/atmosphere perfectly. <3

It was so nice that it came out with such a wide release! I just found out about Miyazaki through the internet for the most part... it was nice to have something so out in the open for once! And that's so nice that you and your sister could enjoy it together. That makes things like that even more special.

I'm kind of concerned that the saturation is a little too bright in this picture, but happy sunny seaside pictures seem to require that. Such a catch 22. XD
