my birthday present for !!! i know his birthday isn't until the 15th but i figured i'd forget and i was too excited to not upload it now!!!so i tried hard on this one! i know it doesn't show much but i tried to shade but as many of you know i lack the skill of shading and use of light XD but i believe that shows how much i really wanted this to stand out! i LOVE this fakemon. it's so iconic for me! this is lydario right here, it's such a genius fakemon, i want one!!!
anyways so happy birthday to the amazing lydario!

Not always. If you want something, as always, I'd challenge you to try and play with shadows, since this is still a fairly flat drawing. You've gotta try new things if you want to improve.

yeah i tried on on this one, there is shadow and light but it isn't that big of a contrast between the shadows.
plus i'm not very good at figuring out WHERE the shadows go lol i just don't have that much experience and i'm a fan of flat art so that's why i don't do much of it.

yeah well i don't really plan to learn lol i've been fine with no shading for 5 years so i plan to just continue. i just did this for fun, i was trying to almost replicate your style actually...i failed though XD it was just a fun experiment/birthday gift
