Overall not too bad, but I would say its more of a beginners scene. The first thing I would start with is adding colour to your lighting. Judging by the background image and the position of the shadows it looks to me like its an early morning scene, therefore, I suggest making your main lighting source a warm yellow - orange colour, as well as a cool blue colour for the main world.
The next thing is your scene is incredibly high contrast in comparison to your background image. I would suggest a few things here, starting with increasing the contrast of your background image, and then slightly lowering the contrast of your main scene. Next thing to help with this is to add fog, this will do two things, emphasis that the time is early in the morning, and help match the contrast of the scene with the background image.
Third thing is it looks like a normal render, thats been cut in half, and flipped, its to symmetrical. Add some variation, like for example rocks, randomly scale the bushes around, change the colour of the leaves, add some patches in the grass, add variation in the path and so on.
That is about all I have to say about that, hope all this helps and I really hope its not too harsh! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

Thanks for the comments. I have to take a lot into consideration. I am "new" to the 3D art world and any criticism, good or bad, is good. Thanks for your input.

Okay, unlike Mason, the first thing that comes to my mind with this scene is AUTO CAD! This is because of the bad lighting, and wrongly proportioned scaling of the entire scene. Those shrubs are are like 6 feet tall compared to the grass and trail! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/e/e… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="377" title=" (Eek)"/> and That trail is like 6 inches across... Also, the trail needs to be more interesting... For example, add rocks, and leaves, and a little grass on it as well... AND CHANGE THAT TEXTURE! Your dirt texture looks like its heavily tiled... In Nature, nothing is tile, least of all dirt... I recommend making tiling the texture to the size you need in Photoshop, then adding another dirt texture over top, with the clone brush (obviously don't cover it, just highlight it). Do this with several textures and it should be good e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>
Second of all, that lighting is really poor... Too dim... And WAY TOO WHITE! If it's supposed to be early morning, and some fog or something, and make the lighting a cream color... White light is the WORST THING you can do for a scene like this... Also, the lighting don't match up with the background quite right... Something looks off...
Also, try adding some of your own shrubs in here... It's all too obvious all the shrubs are the same, in a very unnatural way. Imagine this were real, and you had hired a professional photographer to take a photo of it... What would you wish to see out of his photo? Do likewise... e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="454" title="Wink/Razz"/>
Keep working at it, you're off to a good start! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Hi,
This was done with the free models that came with the tutorial. I did purchase the Grass Essentials and love the workflow now. I am currently working on my next outdoor piece and hope to get it posted soon.
Thanks for the feedback. It's very much appreciated.
Cheers.
