Before there was Senran Kagura and even before there was Naruto we had 3 ninjas that led to those inspirations. first 2 were Ryu Hayabuse from Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Joe from the Shinobi games on Sega Genesis who you can say were a part of the influence we we got Naruto. yes there was Ninja scrolls but I don't think people like to compare Ninja Scroll with Naruto or even say Naruto was inspired by that too for some reason since I put a random comment as a troll bait to see what happened and it got massacred by 10 people the following day so i removed it. lol

as for the Senran Kagura side perhaps Dead or Alive would be more accurate in the influence due to Kasumi and Ayane but before they even existed there was one before them who mastered the Kunoichi art of distraction by using the bodies and breasts to entice a foe. and that one Kunoichi is Mai Shiranui. Defeated Chun Li in a deathbattle as her ninja training and iron fans gave her the leg up over Chun Li and Mai never misses a chance to show her how her ninja training inspired future fanservice kunoichi to appear in the forms of Kasumi, Ayane and eventually brought us to Senran Kagura. now this is likely an impossible request to make of SNK to work with Marvelous but since they somehow got dead or alive and Mai was invited to dead or alive recently about a year ago what do you all think on Mai as a DLC to a senran kagura title? She's definitely the senior of kunoichi among her peers in terms of franchises goes and her fighting style wouldn't be a bad fit in a normal senran kagura game but it could also work in peach beach splash though this would me she'd be a bit of a opposing match to Yumi since both use fans only one uses fire and the other uses ice lol
