My buddy keeps saying that I have pro skills. I don't really believe him, but I tried my best. Get creative with the colors, make core shadows, "every highlight needs a shadow", and all the other junk I "learned" watching YouTube and Bob Ross before bed.Also, I guess this is why colors are important:

Oh no, I wasn't beating myself up about the flats. I added that as a little learning thing for any newer people that might see this. That's what I started with for the background and Ibuki when I started shading. I figured it's a helpful before and after on why you want to learn about colors, lighting, and form. "Shade the ball" sounds stupid until it gets put in practice with a dynamic light source...I know I used to think that at least.
Part of why I leave my page riddled with old garbage is so that new artists might see what the journey looks like and keep from getting discouraged. Every page seems to only focus on the "I'm so pro" part, but they don't give a lot of insight on whether you're making good progress, need to switch up your study, or if you're a potato with a pencil stabbed through it. It's too easy to accidentally call yourself a potato when you're really just too new. This is a place to express myself, a place for people to perv out, and a place to learn art!

I'll go ahead and agree with ya. ^_^ Her shoes are actually made like shoes (track spikes too!), I gave her a little wrinkle in her nametag to make it look stuck on, and I even tried to make her thigh look "relaxed" on the bent leg while flexing the other.
