Description Lol she's not really that, she's just my sona Nightlock  (dragon mode ) that I turned into a knight for 's contest ...
This was fun! To be honest, whenever I try drawing Transformers, I keep wanting to just draw suits of armor with some robotic features, so getting to just draw the armor as armor was pretty great! Maybe it's just an excuse to throw more blues and purples into my gallery...

Also, I got to make use of the expensive colored pencils that I rarely use, haha. And a backround that I had made awhile ago that I didn't find a use for.
I heeeeeeaaaavily used DeviantArt muro to edit this one. I mean, seriously, this is what I started off with. The cape turned out wayyy better after being colored digitally.

Ok, so in regards to the contest, I don't really know what era this would be from, probably Middle Age (because why not)? She's even a dragon

Her face is shaded because I wanted the focus to be on the aspects of her design (like the freaking forever-taking chainmail parts), and she looked kinda epic and contemplative like this, so I left it.

I guess her role in an AU like this would be defending against Unicron's army, maybe?

All in all, thank you to for hosting this contest! If anyone looking at this wants to join, you should! It's a fun experience!

EDIT: Also, I found out that Windows has effects you can add to photos, so if you want to see something cool with this pic, look here: sta.sh/01rmci4qrlzf
EDIT2: Thanks to for giving me advice on how to make this better! I have no idea if this updated version heeded any of your advice well, but I tried At least it's more color-accurate, I think. (Also, thanks for dealing with me, haha)
Transformers belongs to Hasbro

It looks much better! A bit too saturated for my tastes but looks wonderful! Good job!

I'm surprised more people have not commented on this entry. This one, I am almost 100% sure will win. It's got the perfect balance of fantasy and historical knights aesthetic. I saw this, and I knew that this one would be it. The colors are great, I can't express how much I love the glittery cape and the armor.

My only criticism would be the way you brought this piece into the digital medium. There are a lot of rough edges around the silhouette of the drawing. And the colors of the character are textured in a way that you can tell it's scanned paper. There are ways to get around this, but I almost feel if it had been photographed, instead of scanned. And from a distance, the background is almost the same color as the figure, and from a distance they kind of blend together.

If you have an unedited version of the scanned drawing, I can show you what I mean.

Thank you so much! That's what I was going for! (Also, your entry is pretty amazing, too)

And yeah, I'm just starting to attempt blending digital and traditional art, so the few pieces I have are pretty rough-looking. It probably looks photographed because it was this time, heh. I usually use a scanner, but it is a really crummy printer scanner that doesn't have any colors come through whatsoever (and isn't much better than using a camera, unfortunately), so I used this picture

But I do see where you're coming from. Any advice is very appreciated!

(Also the rest of your art is freaking awesome, holy cow)

(Thanks man, appreciate it.)
I made an edit of your drawing, and broke it down into the steps I did to edit it together. Help Sheet 14 . The main thing I did was enhance the color, and used the different "Layer modes" to put it together. That way there were no rough edges. I really love this drawing, and I cannot wait to see more like it!

Ahh, ok. Thank you so much for the breakdown! It really helped. I'll definitely try and see what I can do with the next piece. Thanks again! <3
