Here are the characters of the DR Lab Au, which is the helpers.1. Monokuma=Experiment #0, assisstant to Junko, and the surgeon of the operations
2. Usami/monomi=Experiment #25, lab rat assisstant, with rabbit adapatation

I can actually imagine when it comes to the assistants taking care of the experiments, like these 2, since she's was with Chiaki, especially in the execution scene, she mostly take care of chiaki experiment while she became an alter ego (That it's like Chiho in the regular vers won't be alone anymore)

I don't won't to spoil anything, but the classes's cells are separated from each other so, Chihiro never saw what happened to Chiaki in this au. Also, Usami/Monomi isn't the one that you know of, she's a different person.
