I read what Linda wrote, and I keep track of my resources, another way.
open the folder for the image you are working on.
go to the stock you want to use and copy to your folder, then in your browser's search bar, drag the url right into your open folder.
it will always be there to back reference

Yes, it's important to credit everyone. Most of the clubs here, and people who give DD's, will not accept the work if it's not fully and properly credited.
Also most will not accept anything browsed on Google or other browsers. It must come from a legitimate source and site that allows usage.
One particular club here is so picky they wanted me to list every little tiny thing. And I told them I hand painted those elements...so do I have credit myself? I told them never mind, I don't need their club.

Wow! Thanks for the info! I didn't realize that. As good as all the stock sources are here, they don't always have what I'm looking for, so I don't think I'll ever stop using free non-copyrighted googled sources.

I think some people were actually cutting parts out of others paintings and then claiming them as their own works. Lots of pirating and copyright infringement changed the rules here.
I use the models, but I don't really use much of the stock here, unless it's a favor to a friend. Some have too many strict and rigid rules just to use a butterfly!
I have Poser and I own a lot of stuff to go with it, so if there's something I want to add to my image, I render it myself. Plus I own a lot of exclusives such as pre-mades, so I can pretty much abide by my own rules. I've been here almost 7 years and still no DD, while many people with newbie talent may have more than one.
So no big deal. Just use your Google stock...your art is amazing. Especially the political stuff!

...just noticed what you wrote about the sources. What I do is, keep a sticky note open and as I go along finding things to use, copy the url immediately onto the note. Then it's all at hand when I'm ready to submit.

Index cards are bigger, Dan!!! And we all know bigger is better--especially if you're from Texas!
You know what I do, I download all my sources for projects into a folder called New Project Stock. Although I do have to remember to clean it out so I don't run two or three project sources together!!!

Yes, everything is faved, Linda Kinda, duh! You just gotta remember not to use the URL from your folder in the credits but straight from the image (or of course the thumb or fav me links) or else the credit links back to your gallery and not as a mention to the stock artist. Some people make that mistake, and unless they send me a note, I will never know if my stock has been used--which by my tous is fine, but I do like to see what people are making with my stock.

Ty, sounds like a good system, I'll have to try something similar. It's definitely tough keeping track of all the sources I use. Sometimes it's a pretty long list.
