There's no pleasing you, is there? I guess you just don't like other styles used for Kirara.... or me doing crazy editting experiments on her.

And actually I didn't even smudge her markings this time around-- I used the 'fur' brush and soften tool on them. But same thing I guess. But personally I like the way it came out-- it looks more natural. Not that there's anything wrong with the way she's drawn in the cartoon of course.

I know the eyes need help, but the best way to learn is to mess up and learn from those mistakes. And maybe try out suggestions from others. And hopefully you get better as you practice.

I'm not experienced enough (or good) with dodge and burn tools yet, so I don't use them too often. You can't expect me to use them for large details if I'm not comfortable with them. I can't get anything to look right with them yet to be honest, so I try doing little things with them first.

I'm not as experienced with editting as you are, so my attempts are not always going to look great. I'm going to keep trying though and maybe one day I'll be good.

lol if you ever need help with photoshop just let me know.....lol and im just jokin around with you. she looks fine..... the eyes just didnt quite fit the pic...... but really dodge n burn tool are easy to work.... it took me a while to figure out what the hell i was doin.... no one helped me. i had to learn on my own. i always have. even with they way i draw. no one helps me with stuff. i learn by correcting or redrawing pics i didnt like the result of it. Once you figure out stuff it's not all that hard. I'm really just more of a pro with computers in general. I'm going to college for graphic arts and digital stuff. Soz im planning to be a digital artitst/animator. I'm keen on detals and im nit picky if the character dun look similar or like the original.... meaning marking wise.

Oh I know you were just kidding around. I was just explaining that I'm still learning stuff with PhotoShop and PaintShop. You can't expect me to master everything at once, you know. Maybe I'll do better with eyes next time. You learn on your own by trying things out. Once you figure stuff out, you need to practice some more too to get better at it. That's how it gets easier.

You didn't look at other people's drawings or anything when you were still learning? Even that helps because you see the way some things are supposed to look (like shading, etc.). You still learn a bit on your own though because you still need to try it out and junk.

I'm pretty good with computers too; I took a college level course on them, but it was for Windows Office stuff. It had nothing to do with graphics design except how to make PowerPoint slides.

I think I am getting more used to dodge and burn, but I still dislike using them. It's hard to manuiplate them to get what I want, and I often end up ruining the colour-job I did. >_<

the only thing i usd for coloring was TLK/other shows including anime........ and I asked mearu how to do fur.... she was kind enough to tell me. white shep was also kind enough to tell me how to start with basic shapes and work your way to more complex figures..... ^^ soo thats the only help i've had but the askin friends was part of 2005 soz...... lol i learned something NEW..... but other than that my style has stayed the same really ..... i suck for TLK style eyes. Realsim n anime are the onlything i kin really do.
I got Photoshop Elements and Paint Shop Pro8(i hate using PSP..... it drives me nuts..... photoshop works better)
