EDIT: Added mask, changed head shape, added tattoo of Protoss symbol on left arm, added "dreadlocks".This was originally supposed to be a speed painting just for fun, because a little kid asked me to "draw an alien". But after I added the background sky I realized that it actually looked pretty cool so I added 2 more half-cloaked Dark Templar in the background. The one in the foreground should be cloaked as well, but that would make for a boring drawing, right? Anyway, StarCraft rules. If you ever wanna play a lousy Protoss player, add me on Hamachi~ server name shadowdevil502.
And now, I leave you with a golden quote from the Dark Templar.
"Though we strike at you from the shadows, do not think we lack the courage to stand in the light."
I guess the coming sunrise on their planet of Shakuras helps illustrate that.

No, you're right. In the original Brood War the sword is connected to their arm armor or something like that.
The DT design for StarCraft II however seems to have them actually holding a weapon - a double bladed scythe... but the truth is I just forgot that they weren't holding lightsabers and so I drew itl ike that.

the colors are awesome, giving the picture a dark feel to it.
the light from the sword and eyes give the templars an ominious look as well. pretty cool!

Thanks! It wasn't really "speed" the way I've seen some more talented artists do it, but it was good practice in mixing colors. Dark Templar are supposed to be super badass... I'm happy that you liked it!
