◊ Abilities: extensive knowledge of offensive and a few defensive dark magic learnt from her master's library, the inherent magic and abilities that come with being a vampire, as well as the ability to see auras and souls.
◊ Bio: The earliest memory that Lycoris still has possession of was from when she was human and about the age of sixteen or seventeen. Any memories before that have faded over time, and honestly, she doesn't really care.
At that time she had been serving a high ranking aristocrat as their maid. She worked for the man for a few years when apparently he decided he wanted to keep her on his staff forever. Literally.
Even though Lycoris had always had her suspicions, it was laid bare when her employer revealed himself as a vampire. Using the dark magic that comes inherently to all vampires, he changed his usually deadly bite into one of rebirth. (In an un-dead manner of speaking.)
However, quite quickly it became apparent that the young new vampire was not like most. Among other things, blood did not sustain her and her mental capabilities were beyond most. In fact the process had attuned her so strongly with the spiritual world that she was now able to see the auras of anything that possessed a soul. Which came in handy as it turns out auras were exactly what she needed to survive.
For a while everything worked nicely until the day the master vampire asked Lycoris what his own aura looked like.
In all reality, his aura was rather plain and usual, nothing special. That fact alone, though, meant it was hideous to the girl and the way she went about describing it stuck in the back of the vampire's mind (who was rather weak in character to begin with). Fretting and constantly questioning it, he eventually was driven to the point of mentally breaking.
Before fleeing the mansion to who knows where, the vampire locked Lycoris in the basement. Unable to break free from the heavy stone door (the basement was the master's private chambers and was thus intensely fortified), she spent the next two hundred or so years stuck down there.
Luckily the vampire had been a fan of book collecting so his room was lined wall to wall with all sorts of reading material. (she was able to read -everything- at least twice.) She also slept. Allot.
When she finally was released it was thanks to the current homeowner accidentally stumbling upon the hidden door and eventually breaking it open out of curiosity.
Unfortunately for him, his aura was devoured almost immediately, leaving him in a rather husk like state. He still lived, but wasn't much of a person anymore.
Getting used to her new found freedom was difficult. She had practically lost all communication skills and the sight of auras after so long was almost blinding.
Not wanting to go back into hiding Lycoris acquired a new wardrobe, a pair of glasses with dark lenses that toned down aural light to a bearable level and a stuffed toy named Hamiln that was able to display her inner emotions for her. Which she thought was a rather cleaver way to overcome her social short comings until she was able to re-acclimate herself.

She also applied to the Toy Store. Not only would her dark magic and soul seeing abilities be suited for the job, but she was looking forward to seeing how the world had changed since she had been locked away.

◊ Personality: She speaks with a very monotone voice so not much of what she is really thinking is given away. She also lacks the ability to express emotions physically, which is why she has Hamiln to do that for her.
On the inside though, she is a rather energetic and outgoing person, sarcastic and quirky. Despite being away from any other living beings for over two hundred years, she has retained a rather emotional outlook on life.
She is very knowledgeable in book-ish terms, but in everything else is incredibly naive.
◊ Likes: Perfectly pure/good or absolutely corrupt/sinful auras, keeping things organized (though not necessarily clean),
◊ Dislikes:Mundane auras (= normal auras) , Loud noises, bright lights

She -never- wears shoes.
Tends to get time mixed up when remembering things.
Hamlin doesn't have any other abilities other than movement and producing representations of Lycoris' expressions.
