Only 450 of these were ever made as they were poorly marketed by Lotus - they're a bit of a rarity! I've been thinking about getting one for 2-3 years and finally decided to take the plunge

As I previously owned a Lotus Elise S1 111S for 6 years it's not an unfamiliar driving experience, thankfully . The power delivery in the 111S was very smooth and linear though, so I need to take extra care with the more surge-like nature of the turbo engine in the Europa especially in slippery conditions, although I've always tended to be cautious with my right foot if it's at all damp on the roads!
