Description One of my early attempts using a Kood close-up filter mated to the 35mm lens. I shot this with her in front of a window. I like the shapes in the bokeh and don't mind the slight lens flare up the top. This seemed to feel best with a square crop (the shot itself was framed so tight).

Ok, well it is an insanely cute cat, so mega points already, but I LOVE the ligting and colours, as well as the tight Depth of Field locked perfectly onto the eye. Just magnificent, the square framing just perfects the piece.

Thankyou for the comments, udha . I was lucky with the lighting/colours - I had no idea how shooting a macro shot near a window would come out, but it seemed to work! I took a few different crops of the photo at different aspect ratios and then left it for a day (which I find helps when unsure) and when I came back to them the square one just felt right.
