His breeder specialises in chocolates, although gets plenty of cinnamon (which is called sorrel over here) and also some lilac and fawn - she registered Theo as a chocolate. I think he's lighter and more gingery in colour than some chocolates are, but I don't think he's as gingery as cinnamon/sorrel usually is and I think he's also a bit darker than cinnamon/sorrel usually is (and I think his nose/paw leather tone isn't as pink as a sorrel's would be). I believe get a lot of variation in hues within a single colour and a lot of variation in light and photo processing which changes how they come out in photos! So he does look rather like a cinnamon/sorrel in a few photos I take, but then in some other photos less so! I think with some of the less common colours and the variation in hues it can be hard to be sure without a genetic test
One article on the chocolate colour states:
"The colour of a chocolate abyssinian or somali appears as an intermediate between ruddy and sorrel, with its ticking not being
black as in a ruddy or red like in a sorrel, but more dark brown (like a dark chocolate with at least 50% cocoa...) and an apricot coloured undercoat.""
