My first cosplay and it's an Umbreon! First time I officially wore it was at Animecon VII 2009 at Cable Factory, Finland. The convention was tons of fun! I'm looking forward to the next one
...I suck at posing.. I'll have to practise some more >.<

It was kinda like satin but a bit more "furry". No idea what it was, it was on sale and we took the last ones of it. It has small fur (about 0.5cm) and it feels really soft.

The fabric is like really short fur... Feels kinda like satin. The rings are of a regular fleece fabric (I wanted to get luminous fabric but couldn't find it anywhere). Right between the nose and the head-ring there is a hole. Inside the head frame (which is made of chicken wire) there is a piece of black pantyhose stretched as much as possible, and then it's sown tightly to the frame. You can see through it (hazily though) and it'll still look like black fabric from the outside.

Thanks a bunches! Now I just got to drive someplace in the summer out of my dinky town and buy these materials as well as other kinds of costume materials. Wooh con in September!

Olin vain Animeconissa turhan peloissani tullakseni utelemaan kuvaan, niin jäi sitten vain kaukaa ihkuttelun puolelle X'D Mut hei tämä on mahtava sanon sen taas koska on! Ehdoton fave nyt kuten varmaan on oletettavissa tämän ihkutuksen jälkeen~ <3

look at hers it was neat!!! how'd you get your face/muzzle area so good?

The jaw is not moveable, that's why it's so sleek. The mouth doesn't open in any way (in fact there is no mouth at all xD). Under the black fabric there is chicken wire keeping it together. It's just sculpted in to the shape.

Yeah I will. It was just a final fitting when that picture was taken, when it just had been finished so I wasted no time trying it out, that's why I didn't put anything special on.
