I like the way it smells.
It has a spicy herbal smell to it.
And the white flower the grows from it

I love it too . . . but after the sexual images, my mind plays other tricks and now 'sweet basil' is very sensual.

(my favorite dinner is my own tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, balsamic and olive oil...yum bruchetta)

Is it true that the lavendar keeps the spiders away from the rosemary?

i am not sure, but it might be, because i do have a lot of spiders in my yard, but so far i haven't seen any in that pot. but i could have just missed them, too

i like certain parts of it, but others are a pain.

i feel your pain. our yard in general was heinous because of all the rain we had. i've been planting stuff in pots because we don't own the house, although i did plant a jasmine, bougainvilla, and sage bush in the back yard. we were going to plant a veggie garden this year, but the rain made it impossible. i have herbs growing in a window, though, which is great. the bougainvilla might die in the winter, but i am going to try to keep it alive.

picked all the radishes today, cut down the bolted lettuce, pruned the tomatoes back a bit. chaos.
